when i first went for my first pap-smear (3 years ago) It be a cold room. I had to wear one of those gowns that friendly in the vertebrae, and i totally screwed that up. I was tense as heck. but the dr had typed up joke and stuck it on the sealing, so while he be checking me, I was reading the silly joke.
the jokes help, but they didn't take away that awkward attitude that something foriegn was mortal inserted in my vagina.
They use a cold goopy gel on your thing down in attendance. I hated that cog the most. then they use something to be precise similar to a glass-dildo (and cold too) and move it around in here and collect a sample. The indication is probably a bit of you tissue (I maybe wrong) but it feel like some one is using a big q-tip in your vagina. It is humiliated. but does not hurt at all.

No it shouldnt hurt. You will quality some pressure but it wont be bad. I be nervous in the order of going to my first one too. Most doctors are very nice just about it. It will be wierd but it will go by fast.
