What did your doctor explain to you about accomplishments after a D&C?

I went to my doctors appointment 2 weeks after my D&C and he said everything looked correct but he didn't mention whether or not I could have sex, whip baths, swim, etc. Maybe someone could tell me what their doctors said nearly all of this?

Girls with the sole purpose please :)?

I had a D & C in the region of 10 years ago...how time flies! I believe I was told to avoid any commotion which might cause an infection for 2 - 4 weeks (sex be the thing the doctor stressed the most). Here is what I found:

"After a D&C, you will unanimously get a inventory of instructions with the following suggestions:

Avoid intercourse for 2 weeks. The dilated cervix requests a chance to shrink rear legs to normal size. Until this time, germs can easily take into your uterus and cause infection. Use solely sanitary pads for bleeding. Avoid tampons for at lowest 2 weeks. Do not use douches."

"Tampon use is not recommended for a few weeks, and sexual intercourse is silly for a few days."

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/...

"Points To Remember After D&C:

To prevent bacteria from entering the cervix following D&C, you should withhold from sexual intercourse, tampon use, and douches for at least a week.
*Showering, bathing, or swimming is permitted as soon as you perceive well adequate.
*Notify your doctor if fever, abdominal misery, heavy bleeding, or a vaginal discharge near a bad odor crop up.
*Make sure you follow up with your doctor as recommended after the surgery."

Since all the sources own different recommendations concerning after care, you really should send for your doctor. The time frame might vary from casing to case, depending on your pre-op condition or findings at the time of your surgery. You didn't receive any information when you were released from the hospital/surgery center? Check those if you did. Best wishes..

Make another appointment with your MD or appointment his office to hold the nurse relay the info to you.

In general, nought in vagina for 4-6 weeks (depends on MD) - so no sexual intercourse, tampons, or douching. You can lug baths yes, but don't sit in nearby for too long...showers are better. If you are otherwise feeling ok, after you can drive, lift objects, etc.
