Brahmanical Hinduism, menstrual blood is considered polluting and requires a woman to separate from her family for the first three days of her time of year. During this time she cannot perform religious act of devotion and, secluded from her familial, cannot cook, look after children, brush her hair, or wear jewelry. She must achieve a purificatory bathing rite before regular relationships and activities can resume.

Buddhism, menstrual pollution prevents a woman from undertaking pilgrimage or entering a temple.

In the Quranic vista (2:223), menstruation is polluting and requires the Muslim woman's seclusion from her husband. The adīth literature prohibits a menstruant from reciting prayers, fast, entering a mosque, and touching the Qurān until she has finished her menses and taken a full hip bath

In Jewish religion a menstruant is impure for the five or so days of her menses and for at lowest seven days afterwards. After this time has elapsed, the menstruant (niddah) visit a ritual bath (miqveh) and, after immersion, physical relations beside her husband can be resumed.

Christian menstrual taboo informs the disqualification of women from ordination because in most quarters of the church (notably the Orthodox and Catholic Churches) it is believed, save always stated, that a woman's biological presence pollutes the sanctuary.

Food for thought,

as my wonderful husband puts it. anyone who can bleed for 7 days and not die should be respected.

What does brown discharge be determined two weeks after period?

It's not science base. I personally know of this dating spinal column to biblical times when women weren't allowed to go out or be see in public while menstruating. That's why the woman in the bible who have been bleeding for twelve years be so desperate when she went out to Jesus. It be a big deal and she could enjoy been stoned for it. That's why she in recent times tried to crawl up and touch his robe without individual noticed. She believed a short time ago touching the hem of his robe would heal her. It be quite exciting. But he was class and told her that her faith have healed her and she stopped bleeding.

Basically, during a woman's menstrual cycle, she be deemed "unclean". Anyone who touched her or anything she later touched was deem "unclean". Eating food that she had prepared would be to drink "unclean" food.

Of course if we are going by what the bible says, Peter told us that it is not what go into a man's mouth that makes him sullied, but what comes out of it instead, Teaching us to live by pure motive rather than binding ourselves up in tenet.

That poor woman was not solely sick, but ostracized for it.
