Does yoghurt really works as a treatment for yeast infection?

I read on the internet testimonials of women who have tried it (locally) and said it works. However, researchers read out it's ineffective. What do you think? Have you ever tried it? I enunciate nothing tops a prescription pills, but I could be wrong.
