Can the contraceptive injection mete out depression ?

hi there, i be just wondering if the depo injection can mete out depression. I went subsidise on the injection on the 15th of feb after a 10 month break, and the last few days own been getting relatively depressed and weepy over things that havnt really bothered me months ago? do you think this could be a syptom, have anybody else experienced this? thanks x

Hi, there be an article a few weeks ago in a highest magazine (Australia, either womans morning or new idea) where on earth a woman had the implanon contraceptive implantation, and went into such a adjectives depression she went almost psychotic. She have it removed and was fine, be told that can happen, but is pink.
Maybe that applies to the depo injection as well, I deliberate they are based on equal sort of system.

i have this injection, i dont thik it cause depression, sometimes when we are due a period this can ensue, all the symtoms and hormones but no time of year, i would go and see the nurse and make conversation to her about it

since it's a hormonal method, it hink it could be tha cause of the depression, close to any other hormonal method like the pill, surrounded by some women, it causes that and frequent other side effects, major and minor ones. but still i'm glad that you are one and only experiencing that side effect, some others depo can make them sick even they stopped it completely, and suffering years next. i've read some articles about depo and side effects, it's different from every women.
i recommend that you go and get off it. also surrounded by using it for years can cause you osteoporosis. try another form of birth control close to the pill but use the combined one, not the mini pill, because i think it's equal with depo. still nearby are side effects in pills too. if you still experience principal side effects, switch brands. you can also try http://www.fwhc.org for more methods you can choose from.

I too hold had this problem,i have a small break after being on the depo for 5yrs later went wager on on it for a further 6yrs i was depressed and especially weepy for the first 4 months of going back onto it,but it did subside and i be back to my ordinary self but i now enjoy to come off it after 11yrs because it have caused thinning of my bones and am immediately feeling the effect of the aching,so please think going on for this and i would recomend you come off this depo as soon as possiable,the robustness authoritys are getting everyone off this because of the problems it is cause,i just longing i had done it sooner a bit than later,i choice you luck.
