1. Hospital stay depends on how very well the patient is after the procedure. Typically they stay for give or take a few 2-3 days. The recovery time for an sympathetic hysterectomy is 4-6 weeks and sometimes longer due to the need to cut through the abdominal wall.

2. A total hysterectomy removes the body, fundus, and cervix of the uterus. There would technically be no judgment for a regular "Pap" but as women we do get infections and whatnot down here, so every now and later a checkup wouldn't hurt. Breast exams should remain as is!

Hope this helps you out some! Good Luck :-)

The Pill ?

My sis contained by law freshly had one. Not sure roughly speaking the hospital stay but she was still recovering a month then. She said you don't need pap smears anymore. You should still run for a breast exam though but you can do that at the regular dr and not the gyno.
Of course, you will go through the transform of life so you should take on hormone therapy right away. My s-i-l is on the patch. Also, one item she said was that it "feel different". You can tell that a section of your body is missing, so it may take some getting used to.

Good luck!

I had one, yes I still hold to have a pap smear. I be in the hospital for 2 days. My sister have one, and when she had a pap smear a couple of years next, she did have cancer. Thank God it be caught in time. You requirement to talk to your Dr. He or she will answer adjectives of your questions.
