Depression and Birth control?

Is it possible for hormone treatments like birth control to motive depression? If so, are there any studies that show the types of women artificial by depresion due to hormone therapy?

I was on Ortho Tricyclen Lo and I have the worst time on it. I was constantly getting angry at the world and especially my boyfriend. I be always getting into fight with him and I almost broke up near him at one or two points. We finally figured out that it be my pill that was making me crazy.
