At what age should you start going to the GYN?

I had duplicate thing done 2yrs ago. I won't feign, I felt a sharp niggle (though only for partially a minute) at the time, but was fine afterwards. A little bit sore, and they told me not to use bubble tub etc for a couple of weeks, no sex for a month (suited me). Had no problems since. Try not to worry (I know that's not easy) because it will be fine.

I have have this procedure twice now surrounded by the last 7 years.A colposcopy itself is close to having a smear where on earth they use the colposcope to get a clearer picture of the top of you cervix to see the abnormal cell by using a special solution they stain the area and atypical cells show up as white.A biopsy is taken this is what determines the stratum of abnormality.Usually a lletz is done where they tear away the cells using a heated loop of shrill wire, you will return with some bleeding for a few days and have some mild discomfort approaching period pains but this is run of the mill take some agony killers and rest. They will use a local anaesethetic to numb your cervix so you wont have a feeling anything. Please take a look at this site you may find it loyal www.jotrust.co.uk it has an online support group which you may be interested in and we are trying to put on a pedestal awareness too for all forms of pre cancer and cancer of the cervix.I aspiration you all the best hope everthing go ok for, hope I have'nt anxious you but wanted to bestow as much info as possible.XX

Irregular period, stipulation help!?

A colposcopy is a really simple procedure. I have to have one ultimate year after having an impressive smear, and a couple of my friends have have them too. During a colposcopy you will be sat on a special benign of 'chair' where on earth you will be almost lay down with your legs apart surrounded by 'stirrups'. You will have a towel over your bottom partly so you can't see what is going on, and so you don't feel ashamed. A Dr will then look into your vagina, at your cervix. It feel just approaching having a smear..infact it be actually more comfortable I found! I believe that the Dr's and nurses that work in those depts realise women are anxious so they treat you very well. When I had my colposcopy they didn't find any abnormality and decided that the common sense I'd had an impressive smear was probably down to a small infection approaching Thrush or the fact I'd used a vaginal suppositry (for thrush)After the colposcopy I be given a sanitary towel incase of any bleeding...I didn't have any, only just a pinky discharge. All my friends had like peas in a pod outcome too, so it's obviously terrifically common, the solitary bad entity about have a colposcopy is that I now enjoy to have smears every 6 months :( this will ending for 2 years. Hope this helps :) Don't verbs, it will probably be a similar outcome for you and at least your mind will be at rest next :)

Does taking birth control pills cause depression?

Any women out in attendance ever had to hold a hysteroscopy test can you tolerate me no?

I had one contained by 2000. It's not that bad. Just self-conscious. I went subsidise to work in similar to 2 days. I just remember outlook kinda crampy. You will have some discharge, kinda brownish-yellow probably. It's something like like a medium-flow menstrual cycle.

I did own one problem...I got a diaper unthinking kinda thing because of wearing pad continuously and it being July and hot weather. You might want to bring back a small tube of baby diaper reckless stuff to have on appendage just within case. If you don't want to do that, you can bear a disposable cup and mix corn starch and Mylanta (or Maalox) together to make a mash that's not too runny. Something in the Mylanta soothes the area...I swear it works...that's what I used.

Only girls please comfort !?

Hi, I had this done when i be 20, and i was scared out of your wits that it would hurt, and did not turn up for the appointment and left it for a couple of months and i be scared because i have abnormal bleeding. I told my dad and he be mad as hell because breast cancer runs surrounded by our family, so he ring the hospital and he took me the same week, he even come with me to hold it done. And i wish i have told him sooner because it did not hurt at all and i put myself through months of verbs for nothing, i have to have it done a couple of times, because every time i go back for a biopsy i have abnormal cell. Perhaps if i went the first time i wouldn't of have to had it repeated. try not to verbs, and good luck.

Why am i have brown discharge?

Don't be scared it is a simple procedure, The doctor will put you over what he is going to do, what they do is they will donate you a local anaesthetic which will put you to sleep so you wont feel a entry, After wards the doctor will recount you that you will need to rest for couple of days ,also you cant own intercourse for the couple of days as your insides need some recuperative time, you may have a bit of discharge for a morning or so but this will stop.

It doesn't really hurt more than a smear and you shouldn't really experience alot of bleeding after.
They are in recent times removing cells that if are vanished can devlop into cancer so you should make sure you move about. It doesn't mean that you enjoy cancer so don't be alarmed!
Take someone with you for more support!

Good luck.
