Hysterectomy at 40 keep ovaries or get rid of them?

I am set up for a hysterectomy come may. My doc doesnt want to take my overies due to the hormones replacments cause cancer. I do however have ovarian cancer surrounded by my extended family such as my grandma, great aunt, and Aunt. My Moms ma turned 90 just this minute and never has a hysterectomy should i cooperate with my doc more and update him to rid the overies due to my family history? Or should i rid them since breast cancer from the hormone replacement will be easier to detect than ovarian if the overies are vanished behind

Since you do have a history of ovarian cancer, I imagine you should discuss this more with your doctor. Breast cancer is much easier detected than ovarian cancer and contained by most cases it is also easier to sure and has a greater survival rate.
