The only intention there should be blood contained by the vagina is if the woman is menstruating, or the penis has ruptured the hymen (the woman be a virgin), or you've had extremely rough intercourse, and cause a rip somewhere within the vaginal cavity.

Regardless of the judgment, you should wear a condom EVERY TIME you have sex, unless you are monogamous (married, partnered for a long possession commitment) and both spouses are STD free.

As for intercourse during menstruation, (use a condom) if both partners agree to it, it can be rewarding, despite human being messy.
