Possible reasons for really irregular periods?

The past few months my period have be really, really irregular - like on for a week, stale for 3 days, on for 2 days, then rotten for a week, then final on for a week, then past its sell-by date for two months then on for a month etc etc. I also sometimes get hold of period throbbing when I haven't got a time or my period simply finished a few days before. At the moment it seem to be every 1-2 weeks I have another morning of period or so.
I know I own to go bring it checked out - I have be meaning to. In the meantime, does anyone enjoy ideas as to what could be wrong beside me? I am on the mini pill also.

The mini pill is probably causing the problem. It messed up my cycle for ages. Stress, famine of sleep, diet could also contribute

dont put it off see your doctor it could be lots of things but its not something to play more or less with its probably something reasonably simple but please dont put off seeing your doctor simply in bag best to play safe

it could be that u need to chande the pill ur taking,i tried 1 that made my period relly bad, or it could be that u may own adnormal cells,a smear/pap tryout will tell u this and if u hold i will need some treatmeant to burn them away. its not pleasent but my period have become regular as clockwork immediately

get yourself to the doctor love and get a hospital appointment and dint permit them fob you off constraint one, had a similar problem and discovered subsequently had cancer of the uterus and it go on for months my GP kept changing my pills and stuff and a smear testing doesn't always pick everything up. anything could be wrong beside you get checked out asap.

It appears no one have mentioned the possibility of fibroid tumors. What you discribed happened to me and I have fibroids. A lot of women get them - various don't even know they have them.but they incentive irregular periods (although usually more closer together, not months in need.).
