at school we be learning roughly speaking puberty and i haven't started my period nonetheless but was wondering when ever you do can you run straight to tampons or do you have to start out next to pads?

You can start near tampons, but some girls have a thorny time learning how to use them. You can practice presently. Buy some KY jelly, (buy a generic brand in any drug store.) Put the jelly on the tip of a SLIM tampon next to a plastic curved top, and put some jelly inside you. Once you learn how to do it, bring it out immediately. I used pads for the first 2 or 3 period I had after was "introduced" to tampons. Never in my wildest dreams would I update me child they needed to start with pad, they are uncomfortable and made me extremely self concious.
