Contracective coil affecting sex drive?

I'm on the pill and considering having a coil fitted. The pill have caused a stop in sex drive. I considered necessary to hear from women with a coil, whether their sex drive have returned to normal or can this also affect their libido? I used to own painful period before going on the pill and know in that is a coil with hormones that can support for painful or cumbersome periods but do these hormones enjoy an effect on libido? I have not have any children yet but plan to try contained by a year or two.

If your coil is a Mirena, which contains and releases a small amount of progesterone. It is unusual, but possible for it to affect your libido. if it is a more standard copper coil it is even more unlikely.

to be honest it depends on the person. i use the coil and dont hold any problems :)

i have a few friends who use it also and they havent a problem next to it affecting the libido.

You will how ever have to be cautious if you have "rough" intercouse as it can dislodge the coil.

Port a potties?

I hold the unhormone one fitted because hormones dont like me. This can sort periods heavier but have made mine lighter and longer and no effect on my sex drive. Everyone is different try it and if it doesnt work try something else.

Is the birth control pill Tri-nessa a low or high dose estrogen pill?

I own Mirena IUD and it hasn't an affect on my sex drive. I love it no more heavy tight periods.

Hi, no probs next to the mirena coil which I used for Polycystic ovary problems (had to come off the pill). What I needed to say is that coils concluding five years, if you only want one for a year or two they may not fit it as they will lone have to transport it out a year or so later. Try dropping into your local nearest and dearest planning clinic and ask.

Mirina coil is great scarcely any period or stopped adjectives together and no pain gone from super plus and towels to mini tampax as and when it is brilliant for me .near are side effects with any type of hormone you are given but I own not experienced lack of sex drive.
Copper coil may be better for you as it contains no hormones and if the pill upsets you later the chances are mirina coil will too.
