Abnormal bleeding--period every two weeks!?

I am 26 years old, and my period have be normal for most of my existence, until last January where on earth I started bleeding all of a sudden short stopping--for six weeks straight! Now I get my period every 2 weeks with some intermittent spotting in between. I grain otherwise fine and healthy so I don't know if anything is really wrong. How worried should I be?

Hormonal change can affect your menstral cycle. Visit your doctor, there are birth control pills on the open market made for hormone regulation.
