Has anyone taken Prozac for PMS symptoms?

I have a mild suitcase of PMDD and am trying to decide on Prozac or the birth control pill. My OBGYN have explained to me all of the pros and cons but, I am concerned just about all of the side effects. Any suggestions?

I have severe PMDD and bring Yaz for it. It has help me tremendously. I started out with a hugely serious case of PPD (postpartum depression), for which I be treated with tons antidepressants. They did help, but once the PMDD come through, none of them helped me. It be only when I started taking Yaz that I feel better. I no longer take any other meds excluding an occasional Ativan (antianxiety med).

I did take Prozac and Serafem during the PMDD... however, neither worked for me. Many women do find nouns with those meds have PMDD.

This is something you will just own to try out and see for yourself. Keep in mind that everyone is different. Some women hold side effects, others don't.

If the Prozac doesn't help, try the Yaz. I want you all the best!
