Menopause is an important time surrounded by a woman's life. Her body is going through change that can affect her social life, her morale about herself, and her functioning at work. In times past, menopause was normally surrounded by misconceptions and myths. Now, it is recognized that menopause is a automatic step in the process of aging. Contrary to the square view that enthusiasm is all downhill after menopause, masses women today find that the years after menopause offer unknown discoveries and fresh challenges.
Menopause is the medical permanent status for the end of a woman's menstrual period. It is a natural member of aging, and occurs when the ovaries stop making hormones call estrogens. This causes estrogen level to drop, and leads to the lapse of monthly menstual periods. This usually happen between the ages of 45 and 60, but it can happen more rapidly. Menopause can also occur when the ovaries are surgically removed or stop functioning for any other pretext.
The most common and straightforward to recognize symptom is hot flashes รท sudden intense breakers of heat and sweating. Some women find that these hot flashes disrupt their sleep, and others report mood change. Other symptoms may include irregular periods, vaginal or urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence (leakage of urine or inability to control urine flow), and inflammation of the vagina. Because of the change in the urinary tract and vagina, some women may own discomfort or pain during sexual intercourse. Many women also spy changes surrounded by their skin, digestive tract, and hair during menopause.

Kiki, I don't have the answer, but I of late wanted to point out that this be not a dumb question, nor be you dumb to ask it.A dumb person would be someone who does not wish knowledge and feel that they don't need to.
Let's start with some definition here.
Menopause IS the cessation of menses (periods). But, menopause itself can only be identified within retrospect, as it can only be identified after a full year beside no menses and no spotting.
That means that nearby is no such thing as "going through menopause". There is, however, a process call perimenopause, which begins surrounded by your 30's and generally take 15 - 20 years. It can take longer than that. Perimenopause is also why fertility rates switch on to fall surrounded by the 30's.
Any MD can order blood test to check for your reproductive hormone levels, but that doesn't plan that you need to run to your doctor in a minute. You can ask for that at any routine visit.
The merely dumb questions are the ones that aren't asked.
Brown Dischange Coming Out Vagina?
yes menopause is the females body truism that time is up. It means that your period will finish and that you will no longer ovulate and you are unable to own any more children. However there are side effects such as hot flushes etc because your body is not producing indistinguishable type and amounts of hormones that it used to. This is just cog of nature and can not be stopped. I hope this helpYes. (But one should shift to your doctor to rule out any other health issues that could be a factor!!) Sometimes anyone "underweight" or "under extreme duress/stress" could also cause one to stop (or skip) a extent.
I began menopause at the age of 35. (Way too babyish, and I wanted kids... too belated now...) I'm 44 very soon and still having the hot flashes! I be advised (9 years ago) that missing 12 period in a row made me "post" menopausal.... properly.
