My left leg swells, why?

First, I'm not pregnant. This actually started when I be pregnant which was almost a year ago, kid is 11 months old very soon...my left leg swells and it hurts, I enjoy a desk job so I enjoy no choice but to sit all light of day, why does this keep going on and what can I do to reduce it?
Answers:

I wonder why beside all these modern medical advancement, that they haven't found a 'cure' for childbirth pain

It's from sitting too much--not enough stir.

Started happening to me (left leg too) when I become an internet/ebay addict & be unemployed.

Get moving before it become a serious health issue or thrombosis or something!

Shaving the pubic nouns??

try not to piss on yo self this might help

Help me.?

you could try to I don`t know move it around more while you are sitting there at your desk and conceivably ice it if you achieve the chance, i enjoy a similar problem with my knees though that they subjectively swell, if it doesn't get better possibly ask your doctor

What to do?

any number of reasons, sounds initially approaching lymphadenopathy, which could be caused by low circulation, even parasitic infection, and "other"...be in motion see doctor and wear jobst support hose, get proper bench that does not cut off circulation

PMS or what!@!?

you might hold water retention, my friend have a condition, and her legs swell up so bad, she cannot get through sodium, her Dr. prescribed her a pill that really works, so try drinking alot of water, view out your salt intake, prop your leg up on a box or something to save the blood flowing, but I really think you should see a Dr.
