This weight gain comes from retained river. To minimize it, during the week before and during the week of your time, try to avoid salty foods (fries, pepperoni, ham bacon, chips, etc) as much as possible, drink little or no soda pop (water or liquid is good to drink) and try not to munch through refined sugars such as candy or chocolate. I know this sounds rock-hard to do but some people focus it's worth it to feel so much better.
