Hey I think it vary with everyone!! I have a full hysterectomy when i was 23 for medical reason they told me i would be on it for about 30 years and that i would hit the menopause inside 5 years. I took myself of HRT after 4 months and have honestly feel better not being on it. It does come and go for each individual and i know comparatively a few people that own gone through the menopause with it. If she feel ready to come of it update her to try it if it doesn't agree with her she can start again.
Swimming away a ask for ez points?
I'm interested to know why she has made the decree to come off HRT when she is still below 50. The average age at the onset of the menopause is very soon 51. When did she start HRT? Also why, because she had menopausal symptoms, or because a doctor advise her to?Though there hold been copious recent scares near regard to HRT surrounded by the past few years, few if any involve concerns in women lower than the age of 50. Some people say aloud the risk clock, especially for breast cancer increase, does not even begin ticking until the that age.
If she is on a big dose of one of the HRTs ( which is generally not advise anyway) she could drop to a lower dose. If she is already on low dose then you cannot really wean down, alternate morning therapy sometimes suggested, is not really a viable picking as it just cause symptoms on the drug free days.
I suspect I have given you more question to answer, rather than any solutions, but it does not nouns as if she has have any counselling from a menopausal specialist. I suspect that is what she requires at present.
In spite of what the gp say , the general evaluation of doctors is that prescribing HRT should not be the first choice. There is too much evidnce now that it increases risks of blood clots, breast cancer and heart disease where on earth it was previously thought to slim down these. It is really only offered to women whose symptoms are severe.
My personal view is that even a slightly increased should be avoided.Go down natural routes and alternative therapy. The symptoms will pass, the deface caused by side effects won't.
When does the depo shot (birth control) start taking affect?
HRT is still routinely used in hysterectomy patients lower than the age of natural menopause. It isnormal to verbs till the age of natural menopause. However if you still hold functioning ovaries i am unsure why you are taking it anyway! I'd seek the guidance of a menopause clinic before stopping.- Is there an age when you stop getting spots?
