I started Depo in 1996. Got my later shot in March 2001, get pregnant October 2001, delivered my lovely daughter in August 2002. When I go to leave the hospital they offered me another shot and I said yes...6 months next my new OBGYN ordered a Bone Scan and I be diagnosed with Osteopoenia. It is the disease that occur before Osteopoerosis. Weakening and depletion of your bone at age 31 sucks! I be told to take calcium or construct sure I had adequate in my system while I be on the shot and I did. But I still wound up with this disease. Please for your benefit look into another form of birth control. I loved the convenience of Depo...but I would hold been better more or less taking my pill or found another safer form if I would have agreed.

what do u mean when does it start to nick effect? i have almost be on the depo shot for a year. when i got my first shot on a thursday they told me that it would appropriate full effect until the next thursday.
