It take about two days for the symptoms to start to clear but you must dally about two weeks back you start having sex again. Monistat usually works unless you own a very unpromising yeast infection.
Also, if there is no clumpy white cottage cheese resembling discharge than it most likely isn't a yeast infection. It could be bacterial vanigosis which is fairly common within woman. It has similar symptoms such as ichiness, soreness, etc. Those require antibiotics and don't dance away for about a week.
GAH Yeast Infections are the WORST! Sorry you own to have one! I did Monistat too and it worked completely! It cleared mine up 100%

If you use monistat, it usually go away in a couple of days.Get the 3 day Monistat.
For the normal woman, monistat should clear it up. End of story. Then here are those un-normal chicks (like me) who have ongoing yeast infections (overgrowth, actually) and zilch I do helps. It may work for a week but it comes right backbone. So, now I hold found something that works better and it's cheaper. I buy unflavored yogurt with live moving cultures.
I save some applicators and plague them with yogurt. Then I put them contained by the freezer. When I want to insert one, I take it out and consent to it warm satisfactory in my appendage until it's half melt. This is tricky to do. Too thin and it will run right out of you. Now, it will be aware of cold but I don't find it irritating. I know the yeast HATE cold environments so I love pissing them off by making my inserts frozen. I usually enjoy to do this every other night and that keep the symptoms away. Good luck!
