Have just been given an injection of Methotrexate for ectopic pregnancy, anyone know anything about this?

Does anyone know what possible course of events will follow in the subsequent few days? or even any side effects i may experience, someone has mentioned Weight loss? is that possible?

It tell you about the drug, side effects, how it works etc. I have an ectopic about 4 years ago, but wasn't offered this (whether or not it was available then). I have surgery, a laproscopy to investigate (camera through a hole just below the belly button) and a salpendectomy (cut across, newly below my pubic line) to remove one of my fallopian tubes that contained the ectopic. Since the ectopic, with lone one tube, I have gone on to hold two more children (I now hold four). Good luck, I hope it is successful. But if it isn't and you do go down the surgery route, it isn't the extremity of the world. I don't notice the scarring as it is resourcefully hidden below my bikini!
