Girlfriend Skipped a Birth Control Pill?

Ok so during the first week of my girlfriends cycle she dropped a pill down the drain. She skipped the day and continued taking the pill on rota the day after. We havent have sex since this cycle yet, but our anniversary is this weekend and the likelihood are we are going to. Now I just want to know if in that is a big risk with have sex this weekend. This is now her third week contained by the cycle and she would start the placebo pills on sunday i think. She hasnt missed any other pills and she has talk to friends who have in actual fact missed more then one contained by a month and just not takin them at adjectives and have not gotten pregnant.

Obviously I dont want her to receive pregnant but because it was the first week and the hormone have had a unpredictability to build up i think we will be fine. Condoms are out of the give somebody the third degree for certain medical reason so please dont say only use a condom and u'll be fine. I just want input on on the prospect of my girlfriend getting pregnant if we did have sex this weekend.
Thanks

how abundant c-sections can a woman have?

There is a slight unpredictability that her birth control was ineffective this cycle. There is other a chance. Most doctors will make clear to you not to worry so long as the rest of the pills be taken correctly. Things are most likely as they should be, but at hand is never 100% certainty. You'll enjoy to weigh the risks to how it will potentially affect your lives.

Take plan b or not?

Odds are, you guys will be fine, since she just missed one. I'm on birth control too, and I've missed beforehand. I've never gotten pregnant because of it. The chances are extremely low. Have fun on your anniversary!

My husband refuse to consider any permanent birth control solutions for us?

If this is not her first month on this form of hormonal birth control, and she have not skipped any other days, you two should still be protected. If this is still her first month on this birth control, you should use a back-up method anyway until she has gone a full four weeks on it.

There are other option than condoms. If you're allergic to latex, they make non-latex condoms. They also trademark female condoms. There are spermicide foams, strips, gel, etc., that you could use as well. You can use the birth control sponge, i.e. just inserted into her vagina and is nearly as potent as a condom. Check out details of these other options contained by the link contained by my sources box.

PERIODBROWN DISCHarge?

She may or may not get pregnant. When you miss a pill you are suppose to double up on the subsequent day usually .Her pill pack have instructions on how to handle that.
As for dropping it down the drain, I would hold just popped another out of a different daytime and took it until I found out what to do----because she ahd till the end of her pills to takecre of getting another pack etc..
Be diligent!

Why is the morning after pill only considered for emergency contreception?

Sigh. I really wouldn't recommend it. Probably the number one judgment women get "mysteriously pregnant" while on the pill is that they don't steal it correctly every day similar to they're supposed to. How long has she be on the pill altogether? Once you've been taking it regularly for some time (a year), your body's accustomed to it and you're in a slightly safer position.

It may be unlikely that she'll grasp pregnant, especially if she'll be almost on her period. That said, her friends who "missed more than one pill contained by a month" and "not taken their pills at all" and still had unprotected sex are flaming idiots, and you can put in the picture them I said that. That is absolutely asking for it. You can't miss more than two pills successively _ever_ without the birth control's efficacy dropping from 99 to almost 60 or 50 percent.

You can't use a condom for "medical reasons"? There are non-latex condoms, you know.

Here are some sites on what to do when you miss a pill:
http://womenshealth.about.com/od/thepill...
http://www.brown.edu/student_services/he...
http://www.uhs.berkeley.edu/home/healtht...

This latter website log:

"Birth control pills work best when taken the same time respectively day. Try to associate taking your pill next to another activity that you do approximately equal time each daylight, like going to bed or brushing your teeth. This will verbs a steady level of hormones within your system to protect you against break-through bleeding and possible pregnancy.

If you forget a pill, continue to cart your pills as directed below and use a back-up method for at least 7 days. Missing pills puts you at significant risk for pregnancy if no back-up method is used."

Are in attendance any ways to preferrably concieve a BOY instead of a girl?

The only medical object that someone wouldn't be able to use a condom is latex allergy. There are such things as non-latex condoms. Use a polyerethane condom and you'll be fine.

As for missing her pill, that be stupid of her. She should always own an extra pack lying around incase something like that happen. It does compromise her protection, but probably not excessively so. Seriously, use a non-latex condom or female condom or don't enjoy sex at all. None of the other option are effective ample if you really really don't want a pregnancy.
