I'm asking this because I think I'm using too many. I believe my periods may be too heavy so purely wanted an average number to compare.

On my heaviest days I change my tampon every 2 to 3 hours...and that is near the Super Plus absorbency. I find tampons much better than pads for heavy days. My thickset days are only the first 2 days and then it's down to every 5 hours on super plus and afterwards every 8 hours on a 'regular' size. It goes pretty quickly from outstandingly heavy to very bedside light. My point is that every woman is different and no 2 periods are the same! :)

But my time of year was also heavier in the first couple years of getting it than it is in a minute. I was 13 when I first got it and it get lighter with each endorsement year I find. So if you think yours is pretty heavy very soon it might get lighter as you get elder.

Tampons?

If you are like me, you can't stand the feeling of a 'dirty' wipe. On my heaviest days I can use one tampon every hour and a half-and that goes for changing the wad also. I found OB's in the largest size to be the best for heavy days.

You use what you call for. Some women have very wispy periods, some women have thoroughly heavy days.
Just make sure you use them "properly", i.e., according to the directions on the box and your grassland care physician.

i usually change 4 times a year, but i use different sizes according to heaviness of bleeding, and i have to incorporate that i have a very reading light period.
