Yaz and breakthrough bleeding?

This is my fifth month to be on Yaz. I have noticed for the recent past couple of months I've had this light brown discharge in the order of a week before I'm supposed to start my placebo pills. I still get my term like normal, but I don't know why it does this. I hear that breakthrough bleeding was normal the first couple of months, but should it enjoy lasted this long?

Question On My Period?

Breakthrough bleeding that occurs during the 2nd partially of your cycle (week or so before you period) is due to decreased amount of progesterone (vs breakthrough bleeding surrounded by the first half of cycle which would be caused by estrogen imbalance). Yaz may not be the best BC for you. You may have need of something with a little highly developed progesterone level. Can be very frustrating trying to find the correct birth control pill since everyone is different and sometimes enjoy to try several different types to get it right. Since its been 5 months you really should contact your doctor.

In response to Kaleigh's comment - the hormones contained by Yaz are NOT unnatural to the female body. There are 2 types of hormone in birth control - estrogen and progestin, Yaz have a new type of progestin which IS natural to the womanly body. The hormones in Ortho-Tri-Low are both estrogen and progestin also. Also, it is illegal for doctors to cause money on the quantity of prescriptions they give out of a trustworthy brand so that is false also. You will get shorter/lighter period with time in most women. You may in recent times not have the correct balance of progestin to estrogen and may stipulation a different type of BC.

Good luck!

Whats the best tampon?

No. Stop taking it. That happened to me for the 3 months I used it. I started using Ortho Tri Cyceln Lo and didn't have any unenthusiastic side effects.

The doctors will tell you to keep taking it b/c they acquire money off of all their patients who use it. Actually, Yaz is a pill next to hormones that are completely unnatural to the female body. And it's the same height of hormones each week. Probably a more natural, tri-cyclen pill that follows the body's organic pattern would be better for you (like OTC-Lo). Plus, when I used Yaz, it was $68/month. My opinion: You're not paying $68/month to have your period for 1/2 the month. It say it gives shorter, lighter periods and you're mortal ripped off.

For those of you who own taken Yaz, have it increased your breast size?

Yaz is a very low dose pill. You may involve a pill with more estrogen in it to prevent this from stirring. 5 months is too long to be dealing with this type of side effect - usually these things work themselves out within 3 months or smaller quantity. You should talk to your doctor.

Also, many women don't know this but counterweight also affects the efficacy of the pill. Women who weigh more than 150 pounds may not get the same pregnancy protection.

Is within something wrong beside me?!?

I get that all the time when I was on the birth control shot so they switched me to the pill, I'm on Ovcon. Talk to your doctor, bc they may switch you or put you on Estrogen which they did next to me, and it didn't work. But still I would ask your doctor if it is bugging you.
