Answers: What you are describing is severe PMS. It is good that you know when within your cycle your symptoms become exacerbated; in this approach, you can do some detective work and figure out what your triggers may be. It could be excessive caffeine consumption, for example, but it could be a combination of things. In Dr. Christianne Northrup's awesome book, "Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom", she go into great detail about this subject. I outstandingly recommend it. For hormonal balance, try a diet low within fat (35 grams or smaller number per day), and rich in high-ranking complex carbohydrates, (think whole grain, foods).
