Is this breakthrough bleeding or an early term?

Been on birth control pill for 1.5 years with regular on-time period. Didn't have sex for over a year, after had (kinda rough) sex the other afternoon, and also climbed a mountain (overexerted myself). Now I am bleeding bright red. Is this breakthrough bleeding or did the activities somehow basis me to start my period untimely?

Possibly the rough sex have torn you slightly inside the vagina and the exertion has open it up...maybe win a physical to check it out.

Well, you have answered your own interview...Try to be more carefull. If you haven't had sex your body isn't used to it. Good for you for birth control. Take some ibuforen, it will stem the flow. Rest up, and honourable luck.

Did my ovarian cyst rupture?

Truthfully, that cannot be answered until a doc looks at it. Period. (no pun intended)
