Is it past the worst to skip a time of year on birth control?

I'm currently taking Yaz birth control and I recently realized that I am due for my term during a time that I really would rather not have a spell. I have heard of women skipping their period for vacations and honeymoons and what-not. I'd like to know how not detrimental this would be. What I would do is start a new pack after I finish the last alive pill of the old one. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Answers:    Yes this is protected. If it's the first time you try to do this it probably will not be as successful as you hope. It takes your body some time to get used to doing that, and from my experience of trying to do that I still get a period. If you have a few months I would start doing it immediately so that hopefully your body will adjust by then and allow you to really skip it completely..
I've done this 2 or 3 times and as long as you dont take any of the placebo pills and move right on to your subsequent pack than you will not get your period. You can sometimes still go and get an offset of come and go cramps; but enjoy never experienced any spotting from doing this. Some doctors don't agree with this while others do. I would check with your doctor if you are experiencing anything to be precise not in the norm. Otherwise, you should be fine if you are healthy and don't hold any medical problems. I would not make it a habit to practice this.
