Why can't women smoke if they are on birth control pills?

I've tried taking pills years ago. it's just very soon thati'll take it again. today is my second day and i do not consistency well. i'm sleepy and really not contained by the mood for work.. for anything.. Anyway.. my major grill is why can't you smoke while ur at it?
