CIN stands for Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia {also certain as Dysplasia}.
C= cervical(related to the cervix of the uterus)
I= intraepithelial(inside the epithelial cells)
N= neoplasia(a new growth that's phenomenal, almost always precancerous)

CIN is grade into three categories, or stages:
-CIN 1= Early neoplasia { mild dysplasia}. The cell are just starting to present change but are still very similar to the mundane, healthy cell.
-CIN 2= Moderate neoplasia {dysplasia}. The cells are presenting remarkable changes that are smoothly detected by means of microscopic analysis by a pathologist.
-CIN 3= Severe neoplasia {dysplasia}. The cell are already clearly abnormal, amazingly similar to a cancerous cell pattern (large, night, irregular nucleus, spiculated{star-like} borders). If left untreated, CIN 3 progresses fast to the next stage, which is call Carcinoma In Situ (a cancerous lesion that is set to a small confined area, and have not yet started to invade the surrounding tissue).

If not here untreated, it will progress from mild to moderate to severe. From there, it will turn to Carcinoma In Situ {cancerous but next to no visible tumor}, and as the malignant cell proliferate a tumor will appear. If by then you haven't be treated { by radiation, chemotherapy, hysterectomy [removal of the uterus], or all three }, the cancer cell will first invade the adjacent organs and later will metastize { invading distant organs like the lungs, liver, bones, etc }.

Neither your birth control nor folic sharp will cure your condition. Treatment at this early stage of mild dysplasia consists of cryosurgery { freezing the surface of the cervix so the irregular cells die and slough sour }. In some cases a cone biopsy will be necessary; it consists of removal of a cone-shaped portion of the cervix { underneath anesthesia, of course }. If adjectives the abnormal cell are removed along with this cone { a pathologist will analyze the tissue microcospically to determine if the borders of the cone are free of exceptional cells }, you'll be cured of the disease. At this stage your probability of being disease-free after treatment are more than 99%. Of course, you'll be closely monitored by resources of repeat PAPs every 3 months for the first year, then every 6 months for another year. Some doctors rota follow-up visits twice a year, while others will see you every twelve months thereafter.

In 1994, at age 25, I was diagnosed next to CIN 3 { Severe Dysplasia } during a routine PAP test. I never experienced any symptoms, so the diagnosis be a surprise to me. My gynecologist sent me immediately to a Reproductive Oncologist (a doctor that specializes surrounded by cancerous conditions of the female reproductive system). He confirmed the diagnosis, and recommended that a Cone Biopsy [conization] of my cervix be done. This is a minor surgical procedure done underneath regional anesthesia, and it serves a dual purpose: to determine the extent of the lesion, and to treat the condition by removal of a large portion of the cervix. If the lesion is confined in the portion that is extracted [as it be in my case], no further treatment is needed; the doctor will programme PAP tests every 3 months for the first year, every 6 months for the second, and after yearly for life span. In the case of a lesion that extends beyond the borders of the portion explicitly removed, then a hysterectomy [extraction of the uterus] is surrounded by order, sometimes followed by a short course of chemotherapy. To this year, I've had no further return of the disease. If you want to contact me regarding this condition, discern free to do so using the link provided contained by my profile. I hope that you get powerfully real soon, and that my advocate has be of some help and comfort.

For WOMEN lone: Do you do kegel (sp?) exercises regularly?

The pill, birth control is actually certain to make dysplasia worse. At the point where it is mild you are likely to call for to undergo a LEEP procedure. make conversation with your doctor going on for other forms of birth control that you could use if you are concerned about this risk. I work beside this a lot so if you enjoy any other questions around the LEEP or anything feel free to email me!

I perspire WAY to much.what should I do?

I don't know that continuing your 'birth control' or taking folic sour with 'cure the dysplasia' ... you may have need of 'surgery' or you may just involve to be 'watched warily' ... you have 'human papilloma virus' (I've get it, too) and that is 'fruitless' ... but I had a 'really abnormal pap' next to two surgeries, and was told I needed a 'third' surgery but have 'ten years' to do it before I caught 'cervical cancer' ... but 8 years subsequent, I had a 'totally ordinary' pap smear twice in a row, beside no 'third surgery' ... so sometimes doctors just 'cut' to be 'thrifty' when sometimes 'just waiting' is satisfactory to make things better ... but 'taking pills' is NOT GOING TO CURE YOUR DYSPLASIA ... at lowest as far as I know.
