Regarding your question, here are two international medical classifications for breast cancer :
* The first one is the TNM system, stands for tumor, node, metastasis:
T+ve N-ve M-ve; means near is a malignant tumor but no lymph node involvement neither distant metastasis.
T+ve N+ve M-ve; means tumor is present near regional lymph nodes involvement but without distant metastasis.
T+ve N+ve M+ve; God forbid, this is the worst armour scenario, where nearby is a tumor with regional lymph nodes involvement and distant metastasis in other organs, bone for example.
Notice that this classification doesn't consider the size of the tumor as factor in the classification.
*The Second system for classification is the Staging system from I-IV, ie. from 1-4, this system consider the size of the tumor as a crucial factor in the staging system beside the other factors contained by the TNM classification, weather there is lymph nodes involvement and distant metastasis or not, If U involve more detailed information please let me know. . . . .
Regarding the tablets she is taking most probably it is hormone blocking tablets (estrogen blockers), deeply it block the estrogen receptors on the tumor cells and relief in regression of the tumor, as most breast cancer desires estrogen to grow bigger and faster.

First, chemo. might be the pills. Chemo stands for chemical treatment and can be administered in pill form. Your friend may not requirement radiation, which is another kind of cancer treatment.

Your friend should ask her doctor more question. Many cancer patients have a friend or household member who go to the doctor with them to help out ask questions and follow the answers. When a person is coping beside something as stressful as cancer, the mind can't always wrap itself around adjectives the details at once. It's good to enjoy someone with her to ask the question she is too numb to put into words.

Second to asking the doctor, go to the library. Look for books on breast cancer and what to expect when you own breast cancer. Sometimes there are caregiver guides that speak to friends of cancer patients.

When you find interesting books, flip to the title page and see if in attendance is a date at the bottom of the page. That tells when the book be written. (Sometimes it's not on the title page, but on the back of it and shows as a copyright date.)

How aged is the book? With medicine and canon you don't want something that's too old. Those areas draw from out-dated fast. Try for something that have been written within the last 3 years or smaller amount.

Once you have found current books on the topic, settle down and read a few to see if you can find your answers. You don't own to read them cover to cover like a fresh. Check the table of contents. Check the index. Zero in on the parts that answer your questions. What sort of medication? What are the stages of cancer? How is chemo. given? How do you variety your friend comfortable?
