Can a yeast infection run away on its own ?

About 7 months ago i tried to have sex, but it didn't work. A couple days after that my vagina got red and itchy. It come back for in the region of two months, everytime before I would go and get my period. It would also be for a time swollen. Then 5 months ago, I tried to have sex again. It get itchy & red again. I think it's gone away in a minute, but I still might be a little swollen I can't really explain to. Could this be a yeast infection ? Do they go away on their own ?

It could be. Sounds like you own a high rank of yeast in your body. That funds that you can easily hold flair ups with period, sex, etc...

Discuss this with your doctor. Perhaps a small treatment of anti fungal such as Diflucan will aid. I find it lowers the yeast in my body for several months at a time.

It could be. Yeast infections can come and turn but they do tend to hang around and flare up from time to time if moved out untreated.

They can be set off by physical trauma (like have sex if you're on the dry side) and by periods. As your length approaches the ph balance of your vagina change which can allow any yeast infections to put on a spurt of growth.

Make sure that you use lube when having sex and don't use fancy tub products when bathing, especially around the time of your period. You can also use the polite only inbred yogurt on a tampon for relief. It works but it's messy!

If you verbs having problems don't hold suffering - see a doctor.
