Orthodontic assistant! what are your work duties?

i am curious how much ortho assistants make. especially within CA. what are your duties and how many other assistants are at hand?

Ortho assts. own a variety of expanded functions. This is because assistants are allowed to place/do any interim work, which involves a lot surrounded by regards to orthodontics. Placing arch wires, ties, rubber band, separators, adjusting palatal spreaders, listen to patients complain, complain, complain!

Salary differs from one office to another, freshly like the number of assistants. Of course, the more costly you are to the practice, the more you get remunerated. In Dallas, TX I was making $2500/month. I'm sure the pay packet rate in Cali is high due to increased cost of living.

But don't do it for the money, there's greatly more to consider...office politics, spoiled patients, working next to small parts, schedules (not adjectives offices in recent times work 8 to 5), and whether or not you will be happy performing in an ortho department.

My orthos assistants bring back him tools, bands, braces, brackets, ect. and other things I own no idea how much they trademark sorry about that.
