Do women still ovulate on the NuvaRing?
?
Answers:
They shouldn't, but some women do.
The ring works the same track as the birth control pill which works in 3 ways...
1.) It prevents ovulation.
2.) It prevents the facing of the uterus from building up, making it "slippery" and not an ideal environment for implantation.
3.) It change the cervical mucous. This helps preserve sperm from penetrating the cervix.
Should any of the mechanism fail, the others "see in" to aid in the prevention of pregnancy.
no. birth control tricks the brain into thinking you are pregnant thats why you don't ovulate. thats also the intention why most women have trouble getting pregnant after they get bad birth control because their body is so use to not ovulating.
