Does a young woman who have never been sexually live need a pap smear previously starting birth control?

I'm so scared. I hold never, ever had sex, but my mom wishes to start me on birth control. She says that I entail a pap smear before I can bring back it, but i did some research and found out I don't need one when I start birth control, but will next on.

The actual pap smear, i know what happens, I know they prob you, finger you, rake over you, stick stuff up inside of you, grope you, not to mention you're naked while they do adjectives this and I can't think of this as an exam! I one and only think of it as some pervy stranger poking around at me! I know it's cog of growing up, I know it's important, and I know doctors enjoy probibly seen a thousand vagainas and probibly don't assistance, but I DO. Is there any bearing to get chronological the idea that the gynacologyst is anything more than a smart perv, and that the pap smear is anything more than a horrid groping session.purely thinking about it make my eyes well beside tears of...fear? Where in the world are you getting this information. A pap is nil like this.. they don't do anything approaching that. They are not smart prevs, and a pap is not a horrible groping session it is designed to save your go.. to detect disease early. Perhaps you should speak to your mother roughly speaking what exactly goes on surrounded by a pap smear..

Besides think of it this track.. when you have kids the doctor is going to own to look at your vagina. not doubt about it so better settlement with the reality that to save your duration and/or have kids population are going to have to look near

I got on birth control for cramps by going to planned motherhood. They were really great and because I hold never had sex and be under 18 I didn't enjoy to get a pelvic exam. However they did detail me that the next year because I would involve to have an exam. I did hold to have a breast exam (everyone does even at your doctor) but it be not embarassing at all. Talk to your mom or another trusted female full-grown about your fears. Why does your mom want you on birth control pills? Do you want to start taking them? Maybe you can rota a consultation appointment and have the doctor show you adjectives the tools used and tell you everything that will ensue.
