Ive always wondered, why is breast cancer more commen contained by women?

Yet still possible to occur contained by men?
Answers:

Is It Weird That .?

The short and sweet version:

Breast cancer is directly effect and dictated by hormones (specifically estrogen) and genetics. This is why you'll see more incidents of cancer in post-menopausal women, because plentiful of them used to use hormone replacement therapy to win them through their menopausal misery.

Men have a absolute level of estrogen as very well, and just resembling women, some have more than others. Also, genetic cooperation is key.

Question for adjectives girls?

Sorry this response is a bit lengthy, i newly pulled out some interesting facts from my internet source:

Simply being a woman is the chief risk factor for developing breast cancer. Although women have tons more breast cells than men, the prevalent reason they develop more breast cancer is because their breast cell are constantly exposed to the growth-promoting effects of the female hormones estrogen and progesterone, thus making breast cancer much more adjectives in women than men. Men can develop breast cancer, but this disease is more or less 100 times more common among women than men.

Your risk of developing breast cancer increases as you achieve older. About 17% of invasive breast cancer diagnoses are among women in their 40s, while something like 78% of women with invasive breast cancer are age 50 or elder when they are diagnosed.

Recent studies have shown that more or less 5% to 10% of breast cancer cases are hereditary as a result of gene change (called mutations). The most common mutations are those of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes. Normally, these genes abet to prevent cancer by making proteins that keep cell from growing abnormally. However, if you own inherited any mutated gene from a parent, you are at increased risk for breast cancer.

Breast cancer risk is higher among women whose close blood relatives hold this disease. Your risk of developing breast cancer is increased if:

You have 2 or more relatives next to breast or ovarian cancer.

Breast cancer occurs up to that time age 50 in a relative (mother, sister, grandmother or aunt) on any side of the family. The risk is sophisticated if your mother or sister has a history of breast cancer.

You hold relatives with both breast and ovarian cancer.

You own 1 or more relatives with two cancer (breast and ovarian, or 2 different breast cancers).

You have a masculine relative (or relatives) with breast cancer.

You hold a family history of breast or ovarian cancer and Ashkenazi Jewish heritage.

Your ethnic group history includes a history of diseases associated with inherent breast cancer such as Li-Fraumeni or Cowden Syndrome.

White women are slightly more likely to develop breast cancer than are African-American women. African-American women are more promising to die of this cancer. Many experts now have a feeling that the main aim for this is because African-American women have more aggressive tumors (see basal-like breast cancer, below). The reason for this are not known. Asian, Hispanic, and Native-American women hold a lower risk of developing and dying from breast cancer.

Women who started menstruating at an early age (before age 12) or who go through menopause at a late age (after age 55) hold a slightly higher risk of breast cancer.

Women who own had no children or who have their first child after age 30 have a slightly complex breast cancer risk. Having multiple pregnancies and becoming pregnant at an early age reduce breast cancer risk.

Some studies suggest that breast-feeding may slightly lower breast cancer risk, especially if breast-feeding is continued for 1.5 to 2 years. Other studies found no impact on breast cancer risk.

Use of alcohol is clearly linked to an increased risk of developing breast cancer. The risk increases next to the amount of alcohol consumed. Compared with nondrinkers, women who consume 1 alcoholic drink a afternoon have a awfully small increase in risk. Those who have 2 to 5 drinks each day have give or take a few 1 1/2 times the risk of women who drink no alcohol. Alcohol is also known to increase the risk of developing cancer of the mouth, throat, and esophagus. The American Cancer Society recommends limiting your consumption of alcohol.

Obesity (being overweight) have been found to be a breast cancer risk within all studies, especially for women after menopause. Although your ovaries produce most of your estrogen, flabby tissue produces a small amount of estrogen. Having more fat tissue after menopause can increase your estrogen level and, thereby, increase your likelihood of developing breast cancer.

Evidence is growing that physical flurry in the form of exercise reduce breast cancer risk. The only cross-question is how much exercise is needed. In one study from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) as little as 1.25 to 2.5 hours per week of brisk walking reduced a woman's risk by 18%. Walking 10 hours a week reduced the risk a little more. The American Cancer Society Guidelines on Nutrition and Physical Activity for Cancer Prevention recommend that you absorb in 45 to 60 minutes of intentional physical hum 5 or more days a week.

Internet e-mail rumors have suggested that chemicals contained by underarm antiperspirants are absorbed through the skin, interfere near lymph circulation, cause toxins to build up in the breast, and eventually head to breast cancer. There is very little experimental or epidemiological evidence to support this rumor. Chemicals contained by products such as antiperspirants are tested thoroughly to ensure their safety. One small study only just found trace levels of parabens (used as preservatives surrounded by antiperspirants), which have unsubstantiated estrogen-like properties, in a small taster of breast cancer tumors. However, the study did not look at whether parabens caused the tumors. This be a preliminary finding, and more research is needed to determine what effect, if any, parabens may have on breast cancer risk. On the other appendage, a recent large study of breast cancer cause found no increase in breast cancer in women who used underarm antiperspirants or shaved their underarms.

Internet e-mail rumors and at least one book enjoy suggested that bras cause breast cancer by obstruct lymph flow. There is no scientific or clinical argument for this claim.

Most studies have found no join between active cigarette smoking and breast cancer. Though stirring smoking has be suggested to increase the risk of breast cancer in some studies, the issue remains controversial.

studies have suggested that women who work at darkness, for example, nurses on a night shift, may hold an increased risk of developing breast cancer. However, this increased risk has not nonetheless been proven and more studies are within progress. According to some researchers, the effect may be due to disruption in melatonin, a hormone that is artificial by light, but other hormones are also anyone studied.

Has anyone ever had a denial urine test at the doc and concluded up being pregnant?

Women own more fat and glands within the breast tissue.

GIRLS ONLY!! Please no mean or rude answers!! : $?

But men don't hold breasts with like peas in a pod make up the method women do which is why breast cancer in men is exceptionally rare.

Has anyone get their period while pregnant?

We enjoy more breast tissue for it to 'hide' contained by. Also, female hormones own a connection to breast and ovarian cancer.

A queston for females?!?

I asked my doctor that very give somebody the third degree. He said it's because of the different amounts of reproductive hormones such as estrogen. That's one reason they've studies hormone replacement analysis so much and say that taking estrogen supplements during menopause should be predetermined as much as possible because it increases the risk of breast cancer.

Is sex for the first time supposed to be painful or is nearby supposed to be blood?

From what I understand it have something to do with Estrogen.

Is this majority?

Women have more breast tissue than men; women also produce a LOT more estrogen than men, and hold a lot more oil than men (even when they are at normal weight). These things are adjectives factors within breast cancer.

The Pill or pregnancy?

because women have a bigger "playing field"(more tissue) to attain cancer in so its more probable and it has something to do next to estrogen
