Ovulation, when?

I've always thought that you ovulate a few days since your period, but i read on here that its after your length? Which is correct?

This is a bit clear, but it works. In Natural Family Planning, one moniters the female's secretion. When one is near ovulation the mucus get stringy. That is called 'spin', llike spinning wool. You can bring some from inside yourself on a fingertip, then rub it on the thumb and if it is 'spin' it will brand name a string when you open your fingers.
This is an alignment of the proteins. Makes it easier for the sper to swim in the right direction. When in attendance is no egg present, the proteins are more random and the secretion don't usually form a string.
PS, one is usually more 'interested' around ovulation time too.
