Endometrial Ablation and D&C?

I am scheduled to hold a D&C and a Endometrial ablation done next week due to chunky periods. I am 30 and do not plan to own anymore children. I want to know what the recovery time is and what to expect.. Will I bleed alot after the surgery, if so for how long?

I work for an OBGYN who does the endometrial ablation in the bureau now. You can expect some slight bleeding after the procedures but it should conspicuously not be as bad or worse afterwards before the surgery. Alot of our patients love the endometrial ablation b/c it is a smaller amount complicated procedure than a hyster and the recovery time contained by maybe 3 days as to 3-6 weeks after a hyster. You can expect some discharge, cloudy spotting, and maybe some slight cramping the 1st few days but zilch can compare to not having your spell ever again. I have have a D & C, laporoscopy, and hysterscopy done on 3 seperate occurances. I suffered from Endometriosis, and under go 3 surgeries. I had for a time bleeding, not like a term, but it was satisfactory to wear a pad for a few days. I be able to treat my endometriosis next to herbs and enjoy had 2 Dr.'s confirm that I no longer own it. It also helped set off my abnormal cycles and excessive bleeding (and cramping). I really guess that it depends on the entity as to how much you will bleed, and if there are any complications to the procedure. As far as retrieval goes, if they also inflate your stomach near gas, it takes a few days for that to dissapate and can be more mortified than the procedure itself. I had horrible pains across my shoulders from the gas, and I have to sleep in a recliner for 4 days until adjectives the gas left my belly. When I would lay down, I had the sensation that I couldn't breathe and my chest would quality tight. This is one side effect you can expect with the gas. I would read aloud you will feel much better by sunshine 3 or 4. Good luck to you!

I had the novasure one. I also get my tubes tied. I off and on spotted/bled for a bit over a month. It's been almost 3 months since i have it. My periods down from 3 weeks to 5-7 days. The solely complaint i have is i bleed after sex, no aching though. The doc said it will go away next to time. No biggie, get some ibuprofin though to pocket during the day. I run outta vicodins and had trouble sleeping.
