I have a question about pre-menepause..?

I'm 43 yrs old, and my period are getting kinda wacky, I know it's normal, but do you suffer adjectives month long w/symptoms like formerly your period starts? I've be suffering for about 3 weeks, put a bet on cramps, etc. Is this normal?
