My daughters first period at 11 yrs old, she will be15 and has only had 10 periods. What is wrong?

Dr. says this is common, but is does not seem right to me.

I would kind the doctors run some blood tests. At lowest, if only to check her hormone level. I got my extent when I was 11 and it have been regular (every month) for times past 20 years. (minus when I was pregnant) :) If your doctor refuse, switch doctors.

Every month at around ovulation time I get pretty emotional and miserable, is this normal?

Same piece happened to me when I be that age. Doctors always said I be normal. When I get over 21 they finally started telling me the truth.

Most girls I know did not have regular period untill their late teens. Bear contained by mind her hormones have not settled down even so and she is still growing! Give it time, everyone is an individual and developes differently,
But if you are super worried get a second assessment.

its not conventional at all but it might be mundane for her, i think she have low hormone levels, if it doesnt modernize by 18 get her on birth control pills to help out even out her hormones.

This does not nouns normal to me any. I would recommend getting another opinion to see just about what could be causing this, and from someone not surrounded by the same organization as the dr that your daughter currently sees.

PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is one possibility for this issue that you own going on and a thyroid problem is another possibility.

or the NHS
if NHS perversely try Bupa they are very dutiful
they will be able to demarcate the problem
