I had it placed contained by 3 weeks ago and have not stopped spotting since...is this common...I think my body rejects the progestin hormone have the same problem for two years beside depo provera... anyone else have duplicate problem?? And will ibprofuen help to stop the problem? I judge the nurse told me to take Ibprofuen beside Depo? Any opinions?

You can expect on and off spotting any where on earth from 3-6 months after having the IUD placed (it be 6 mnths for me). Not sure about the ibuprofen. If you keep on it out it is well worth it. I love it!! I no longer hold PMS or painful sweet periods.

I had the exact problem beside the IUD and the Depo. Ibprofen didn't help me. I have the IUD removed after 4 months of daily spotting and in a minute use the Nuva ring which works great.

yes i deduce it's normal. my midwife told me i could spot weakly with mirena for up to 4 months and my gyno said some women spot for 6 months. i concluded up having too various problems(besides bleeding) and had mine out after 5 months. I also have problems with Depo

I have one. I have it for three years now. I love it. I spotted alot contained by the in the first month. But it does find better if you can wait it out some. After 6 month I stopped getting my interval.
