Has anyone ever had to go to the colposcopy clinic?

I have an appointment at the colposcopy clinic subsequent week, and just wondered what experiences women on here enjoy had of this? I am a short time aprehensive, although I know it will be OK. Thanks.

Complications after D&C?

i have have 2 colposcopies the best thing to do is basically relax when you are in near,they use a tiny camera to have a look around within there ,i watch the screen so i know exactly what they were looking for (sounds abnormal i know looks like zilch either) i had impressive smears i was startled of going but everything they did they explained and tried to keep me as relaxed as possible,while i be there i have to have a cone biopsy but that didn't hurt any,i had position 3 cells and have to have some laser treatment the subsequent time.but everything is fine now ,have to have 6 monthly smears,later yearly and presently got spinal column up to 3 yearly,but a great deal of infections can show up as abnormal smears.

Ladies? This is caring of embarassing?

Iv been to one as i have 2 abnormal smear results, they a moment ago have a righteous look around, take some swabs and a biopsy, nought to be worried about usually, they found i have a slight infection and that was what made my smear results anomalous. Was easily sorted, afterwards just have smears every 6 months just to check every article had settled down. Dont verbs.

Hysterectomy?

I had to own a colposcopy last year. It be semi painful, they have to take a piece of my feminine insides and cut it and estimation it under the microscope. The solely problem I had be that the doctor had not taken ample of a piece to view so he wound up clipping me not once, not twice, but three times which after the third time it be painful. If he have just did it once I could own dealt near that pain. But this is zilch to be scared of unless you own a very low threshold for stomach-ache.

Am I going through menopause at 23?!?

I had one a few weeks ago, and believe me, the thought of it is worse than the actual procedure. They give me a little dart and I don't really remember much about it. The nurses be brill and they do this procedure all the time so please don't verbs. I was fidgety as hell before but it's not as desperate as you imagine.

What are some signs of herpes?

i have it done recently and near is nothing to it really, it single takes give or take a few 20 mins and you dont really feel anything except for a slight bit of embarresment whilst they are doing the procedure. i too have to have a loop cone biopsy but didnt touch anything apart from a slight twinge. the only throbbing i suffered was mild term type pains for two days after.

Body Flavors?

There are different grades of colpolscopy's & different areas on the body they occur on. I only just had one after 3 inconclusive smear test. For the colposcopy I had hear horror stories of painful biopsies where on earth lining of skin be cut away & the feeling fairly unpleasant, however for mine the doctor just set me up surrounded by the chair as if for a smear & later using a high powered magnifier reading light (placed in front of v.exit & not inside) he looked at the quality of cell projecting an image onto the computer eyeshade. He then told me everything be fine and to come back within 3 years! No pain what so ever and within fact it be reasuring they had the investigative measures in place. Good luck

my sister had one. not the most pleasant experience. but not too discouraging either, upright luck with it.
