Ladies, any problems with the coil?
I am considering having one fitted and would resembling to know if anyone has have any problems, or any positive stories?

I had the gynefix for 5 years, I deduce this is only available contained by the Uk not USA.
It is a piece of wire that they slip into womb. It is very sore to implant (really fruitless period type cramps for nearly a day, the worst i ever had) but later i had no twinge or problems with it for 5 years.
I never have any pain. So on symmetry it was worth it. Just be prepared.
If your partner can touch the thread that hangs down after you can have it cut shorter.
Now I own had a bright type of coil fitted as the gynefix ran out. It is a traditional T shaped one and it will ultimate ten years.
It was much smaller quantity painful to entrench (more like a smear exam discomfort) but i am having a bit of rough periods and weird and wonderful cramps (kind of like mini contractions actually) but not too desperate. Also my period is heavier which it wasn't on the gynefix. However the doctor said this will stop after 3 months and my period should return to normal.
I close to them a lot on stability. They are not hormonal, they always work - i can't forget to nick them, it still works with antibiotics.
I would recommend them unless you already enjoy really heavy period.
Any girl know the answer to this? didn't get lots responses last time..?
I have the non-hormone coil fitted about 7 months ago and the one and only problem i have at the moment is that my period are irregular. They can last for ages and prefer to show at the most inappropiate times! I have be told though that they will settle down eventually. No other problems. Hope this helps!I enjoy nothing but praise for mine, when i told friend that I be getting one they thought it was unacceptable (everyone they know has have a bad experience etc). It does hurt somewhat when its fitted, although apparently its easier if you've had children. But it is almost the most reliable method of contraception, doesn't mess around next to your hormones (if you get the commonplace one) and costs the NHS about lb3. I've have mine 3 years, and I'm pain/blood/baby free.

Please ask a dutiful gynaecologist before fitting it. Every system is differrent, hence reaction are different. I had one fitted, it invited infection into my system. during coitus it pained instead of pleasure, also when I slept, i have dreams that I was within the clutches of a foreign clamping device in my interior! So good riddance to crap rubbish.i cant say i own any complaints from mine and ive had it 2yrs
stay away from that thing, you will return with a smelly discharge, really heavy and I miserable heavy period, really painful time of year pains and longer periods and I'm chitchat from experience try the implants surrounded by your arm much better. honestly dont have it I dont attention to detail what them doctors say coils are hell.

who told you explicitly the most safe be not saying the truth! condoms are safer. do you know what these can bring? i know a friend she have it, she got pregnant and go to the doctor, they could not find this stupid coil, it did not come out, she knew surely, she go for scans and everything, and when the toddler was born it be in his gut! very soon he has malformed guts! it is not worth risking it, though most general public may not have problems! but it can front to lots of things! it is better doing mistake and having a nomral creek, than one which cannot eat! it is better using condoms than that stupid coil. condoms are surely safer especailly DUREX, they are really safe. especially if you you extra safe which are little more expensive. the casual of getting pregnant is really small, smaller than that of the coil. with the coil you can hold fallopian tube pregnancy,t hat is the toddler will be attached to the fallopian tube which is really painful. presently it is in ur hand. decide and speak beside your doctor about this, especially if you plan that contained by the future you willhave babies!Can yogurt prevent yeast infections?
my period were much lighter but irregular, also i put on mass and went up 2 bra sizes contained by 4 weeks!! Had terrible mood swings as okay, but that could just be me i appear to always counter to hormones of any kind!What is the average cargo for a 5"0?
I greatly disliked mine from the start because I did not want one but my GP refused me treatment on my ancient form of birth control so I had no choice.I also disliked how I be treated in the clinic when it be fitted as they tried to talk me into a hormonal coil and insisted that insertion must enjoy hurt me when it didn't so I had to lay down when I be in a hurry to receive out of there.
Then the check up a few weeks next I was told I have to be heterosexual, which I'm not, and told the bacterial infection the coil caused can newly be left to some extent than treated.
In short, coil meant for me dealing near more idiotic sexual strength practitioners such as nurses and doctors.
I get pretty regular cramping throughout my cycle with the coil, nought serious but enough to spot, during my period I own also had some menstrual cramping as capably, something I never normally enjoy.
I used to have chronic infections when I be using tampons, after switching to a cup I had gone for 3 years lacking infections and was exceptionally happy give or take a few that. When I got my coil I get not only a vastly bad bacterial infection, but also a deeply bad yeast infection, both of which required treatment at the doctors.
My term is now a intact hell of a lot heavier, I enjoy menorrhagia to begin beside, but my coil made it ridiculous to the point where I am considering have it removed and just becoming celibate!
Put it this path – I use a menstrual cup, that can be left surrounded by for up to 12 hours for most women; normally I enjoy to empty every 5 hours on a brawny day due to menorrhagia, next to a coil on a heavy morning I've had to insincere as regular as 2 hours!
It seems to be easing down immediately in adjectives fairness but it was slightly a shock, more so as no one told me on my first time of year with a coil to expect a hell of seriously of goo – the cervix getting used to the coil being at hand produces a lot more mucus, more so during menstruation so it can produce some incredibly unusual things coming out of your vagina.
