The hymen is elastic, it can accomodate fingers or tampons or speculums minus breaking.It's on the outside, not the inside. It is not "high up", it's right at the entrance. Anything high up is not, repeat, NOT a hymen.
Sarah, a finger or tampon most possible will not break your hymen. Every gal has one originally, but the membrane's opening conspicuously would vary in size w/ everyone's bod.
Vigorous insertions could to a degree or completely tear the membrane, but if this penetration occur frequently and if done over time, it might not produce painful discomfort or significant amounts of blood that a single larger penetration that tears the hymen might.

the Hymen is the skin to be exact around the hole in your vagina. when you lose your virginity, depending on the size of the boy the insertion of his penis usually breaks, tears, or rips that skin a little. That is what "popping your cherry" is. It can't be done near the fingers unless they are forced in very complicated and you are using more than 2 when you do it. All girls have one. (ALWAYS use protection when being sexually moving, and don't try being sexually active so you can break your hymen, that would NOT be a fitting idea at all!!)

The hymen may not other be reached via fingering, it may be higher up. But it could be lost through diverse activities, ex sports, bike riding etc... because its only a intensely thin piece of tissue. ps. I suggest you make sure those fingers are verbs before insertion, and nails are clipped and cut, you could termination up with tiny cuts on ure inside or worse, bacteria from the folks hands infecting you.Some people are born short a hymen and some can break it during physical exercise, horse/bike riding, or a fall.
