Skipped term.. will I still ovulate prompt?

I skipped my period this past month (most probable due to change in exercise, stress and the reality that I took progesterone last month before my later period)... I've taken numerous preg. tests and they are all cynical :o(. I'm just wondering if I will still ovulate when I usually do on a normal cycle or do you skip it when you miss a time or is it at a different time?? thanks so much!

Answers:    It often take several months for hormones to regulate themselves. If you are trying to conceive, I suggest purchasing an ovulation predictor test to isolate the window of LH surge. This is supportive during conception attempts, regardless of how regular your cycle is, as having a 28 day cycle does not guarantee an ovulation porthole around day 14. In addition, progesterone inhibits the production of estrogen (which is a basic ingredient in the recipe for ovulation). Good luck! .
No. If you skipped a period after you are still on the same cycle. You will not start a new cycle unless you ovulate or you own anovulatory bleeding.

Your body will keep trying to ovulate until it does or your uterus linning is so thick that it cannot support itself anymore, later it will start to shed (anovulatory cycle)
