My gf gets a bladder infection every few months and says it is from having sex with me. Is this true?
Answers: No..
I dont think so.. However if she doesnt treat the infection it will not go away. Or if she doesnt follow through with her medication. It can come back. She should really go back to te doctor if thats the case so they can treat her once and for all.
On top of that, she should be getting a physcial done, every year. Especailly if shes sexually active, I suggest you tell her you wont have sex with her until she gets checked out.
Add: Alot of girls naturally usually have to pee after sex. During sex the bladder is very close to the vagina. If shes fighting that urge to pee when you 2 finish up, she may be giving herself the bladder infection..
Yes this is true. Bladder infection occurs from different reasons, one may be she is cleaning herself the wrong way. It may be surprising but some women do not know that you are suppose to wipe from the front to the back. Also, women should pee after having sex because the fluids produced from sex will sit in or around the vagina and cause an infection. But the main reason for a bladder infection is caused from the man. Understand that it doesn't mean that you are a dirty man but think about you go throughout the day touching numerous things, then when you have to pee you transfer all that on your hand onto your penis. Gross I know. Then most men do not wipe their penis after peeing resulting in the pee to sit on the tip of the penis collecting and hosting germs, you then pass that on to your mate. Yes, women loves a gift but a bladder infection is not the best thing to give her. Trying washing your hands before and after you pee, it would even be nice to clean your penis before sex (I know that may be hard). With work from the both of you, preventing bladder infection can be easy. yes, men can have urinary tract infections that do not exibit symptoms. They can pass the infection on during sex. You can also give her an infection if your hands and happy place aren't clean before you have sex. So go see your doctor and have a test for a urinary tract infection (you pee in a cup) if you do, they'll give you antibiotics (take all of them!) and make sure you're clean before you have sex.
She can help prevent them by getting up after sex and peeing (flushes out any bacteria) and cleaning herself off with a wet rag..
It could be true. Not washing properly before or after sex can lead to a bladder infection. She should also pee before sex as sex with a full bladder can cause cystitis.
You might consider using a different brand of condoms / contraceptives, as she may just be sensitive to what you're currently using.
Make sure she is drinking plenty of water to keep her bladder healthy. Cranberry juice or tablets will also help.

If she keeps getting infections, she really needs to go to a doctor..
yes, the act of sex can push the bacteria into the urethra and this can lead to an infection. so, its not you, its the having sex.
she should try to pee right after sex and that can help flush out the bacteria (not exactly romantic, but neither is a bladder infection). she can also drink cranberry juice, i heard that helps.
and you are practicing good cleanliness i assume. .
yess, it could be. i could mean you have an infection, your dirty
or it could be noting from you at all.. make sure she pees right after you guys have sex to reduce her chances..yuo both need to go get yourselves checked out before it gets serious. it can be if you don't keep yourself clean down there. but more then likely it could be other reasons like she doesn't wash her toys after she masturbates or change her undies often enough. stop having sex with her for 6 months and see if she still gets bladder infections..
i heard that girls can get bladder infections if they have sex underwater, like in pools or in bathtubs
so if that's happening, she could be right. it's possible, to get bladder infections. Here's the dill when you two are having sex you are pushing any bacteria into her urethra because of the friction of having sex. Have her go pee before and after sex this will help remove the bacteria from the urethra. .
Use condoms and she is supposed to go to the bathroom before and after sex. She may be prone to them and sex is the catalyst to her getting them. Could be as you could have infection which you did not discover yet. Women body is more sensitive to sexually transmitted infections. Check in http://www.menstrual-cycle.info/36-Safer....
yes
"Sexual intercourse is a common cause of urinary tract infections because the female anatomy can make women more prone to urinary tract infections" Yes
A sentence taken from WebMD;
"Women sometimes get bladder infections after sex. Vaginal intercourse makes it easier for bacteria to reach the bladder through the urethra.".
It is impossible to say, I'd check with a doctor, I just understand how that would be happening.
Good Luck on that one.
.
Possibly...you might need to clean yourself a little more often. or maybe shes the dirty one. no offense. if the problem persists she should get a blood test. Maybe. It could be that you are unclean, it could be that she is unclean. .
If you have nothing, then how can you give her the infection? Yep. How else could she get it?
Stop trying to stick it in her butt first, and this wouldn't happen. .
Absolutely. You have a dirty penis my friend. yes, check the medical websites and they all say yes..
could be...
