I am currently on a one-month pill, ortho tri-cyclen lo (sp?). The way it is timed now, I will be on my time of year during a weekend I'd rather not be. I was thinking of waiting a week between cycles so that everything will get going and end later and I can avoid this problem. Is that secure? If not, what would you suggest?

you can skip the inactive pills and just start a clean pack thus avoiding your period all together, afterwards just wait and hold your period the following month, it won't hurt anything but some insurances won't pay for this selection or you could just change your pill to seasonale which go for 3 months straight before you have a length. what ever is easiest for you.
