Fitness guru here! You want to go every other day, and for as long as your body can pedal it. Don't over exert. Always start with a warm up, stretching, and next the stationary bikes or eliptical machines are great. They get your cardio up, and you build muscle and burn fat faster. Also, don't forget to cool down. Drink plenty of wet. As far as excercises go, they are tailored to your personal needs. There are trainers at every gym that will design a work out program only just for you, so you see optimal results. I really suggest the FITTLINX program at the YMCA. I LOVE IT! Well, I own a gym membership and i go as much as i can and when I enjoy free time, so usually 3 times a week. I go for about an hour at a time or sometimes longer if I own nothing else to do and am having a dutiful workout. Its not hard to figure out what workouts to do once u are at the gym because nearby are so many machines you just travel to each one you want to or which ones look interesting. But usually i am always using the treadmills, bike, and ab machines.

you can do adjectives of that stuff easily at home without spending a ridiculous amount of money. i run 2 miles and hop rope (GREAT cardio, but uses different muscles than running and it burns a lot of calories - about 300 calories for one hour of jumping) every other year, and the days i don't run i do billy blanks military boot camp (not as scary as it sounds) and sit ups. adjectives together it cost me $50 ($35 for the billy blank dvd set and $15 for the jump rope). my boyfriend has a bowflex (turned into more of a coat rack lol), but i prefer to gain outside, especially since it's really getting nice out. i've lost a lot of weight doing this and once i get to my goal weight, i of late upped my calorie intake by about 400 calories and kept doing the same workout routine.

so..spend $400 and join up a fancy gym that you'll probably have to drive to and schedule surrounded by to your day and feel obligted to "dress appropriately" for.or spend $50 and work out within the privacy of your own home and neighborhood, wearing whatever you want and not worrying about impress anyone?

working out at home worked for me, but if joining a gym is what you really wanna do, then go for it. nought wrong with being robust! good luck!

I worship the gym. I know thats stupid but I love working out and the awesome energy boost it give me. I usually work out atleast five days a week for about three hours. I start with cardio and do 45 mins of treadmill running, 45 minutes of egg-shaped and 45 mins of stationary biking. The remaining time I use the weight machines. If you dont like these gym workouts try swimming or joining a caper class.
