I was reading a study because my mom recently passed away from breast cancer individual 10 weeks after diagnosed and this study I read said that people with graves disease enjoy been linked to breast cancer something roughly the hormone levels that are changed and the synthroid taken actually help the cancer grow.. I am wondering if anyone has heard of this ? My mom be diagnosed with graves about 15 or so years ago and have her thyroid removed and then the breast cancer.

Answers:    There does seem to be an association near breast cancer and Graves. They still don't really know why but it appears to be linked to the hormone secretion levels of the thyroid.

My sister nearly died next to Graves before she was diagnosed and get proper treatment. After three very long years of having Graves, she if finally better and inkling far more normal.

Her doctor has caution her to get regular mammograms because of the connection between Graves and breast cancer.
