Do birth control pills really help that much with getting rid of acne?

Answers:    Birth control pills may significantly improve acne, and may be used specifically for the treatment of acne. It is also important to know that oral antibiotics may decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. This is uncommon, but possible, especially if you notice break-through bleeding. As a precautionary measure use a second form of birth control.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne ..
It does help a bit, but it's not a cure. I had both cystic and regular acne all my teen years and when I started bc my regular acne went away and my cystic acne diminished a little. I still get them though so I have a prescription cream for that. You should talk to you doctor about it though, acne is not a good enough reason to start bc pills. It depends on your body. It isn't a miracle cure, but it is helpful. If you're a teenager, then you'll never be totally safe from acne; if you're older, it may help clear up that last little bit.

I started in my late teens, and noticed a considerable improvement in my acne..
It helps some marginally but did nothing for me, though mine was already okay for the most part. it never helped me when i was a teenager
